Claiming asylum and living in the UK:

- Living in Asylum Accommodation – This is a guide created by the Home Office giving an overview of information to people in asylum accommodation.
- Help to apply online for a visa or set up access to an eVisa – If you’re in the UK, you can get help filling in your online Home Office application or setting up access to an eVisa if you do not feel confident using a computer or mobile device, do not have internet access or do not have access to a device like a laptop or smart phone
- Life after asylum – a video that explains what to do after you have been granted leave to remain in the UK. Available in different languages.
- Welcome: A guide for new refugees – This is a guide created by the Home Office giving information to people newly granted refugee status.
Healthcare:
- Getting Healthcare in the UK – Getting healthcare in the UK can be difficult. If you are a migrant in the UK you may experience additional barriers in getting the healthcare you need. This blog is about getting healthcare in the UK as a migrant.
- Dental Care (Southampton only) – If you urgently need to see an NHS dentist, call 111. For a routine check up, you need to call the local dentist (listed in the link) and say that you are seeking care under the Additional Hours Scheme and that you are an asylum seeker or refugee.
Reporting hate crime:
- On your side – a UK-wide support and reporting service for anyone in the UK who identifies as East and Southeast Asian, including people with mixed heritage, who experience racism or any form of hate. Watch the video here.
- Report Hate Crime – we recommend downloading the Love Don’t Hate app to report hate crime – watch the video that explains how to do that here. CLEAR are a third party hate crime reporting centre, so you can get in touch with us if you need help or support.
