A member of the team will contact you to offer advice or to book a face-to-face appointment with you if needed.
We are also offering a range of in-person briefings on common enquiries from new refugees, including citizenship, housing, benefits, and right to work. To see the latest list of sessions and to book in, please see our Eventbrite page.
Due to limited capacity, we are no longer able to provide advice to those with British Citizenship – please contact Citizens Advice if you need help.
We recommend this booklet from the UK Government which explains what happens when you apply for asylum in the UK – Information Booklet about your Asylum Application and this booklet from Praxis to help you access services, build community, and take care of yourself before and after securing immigration status (co-produced by people who have lived experience of navigating the complex immigration system in the UK) – Migrant-Guide-Praxis
We work with a range of other agencies to provide the best outcomes for our clients, so in some cases we may talk to you about a referral to another organisation to get further help.
We are unable to help with immigration applications for refugee settlement (protection route), further leave to remain on human rights grounds or discretionary leave. We are authorised to give immigration advice at IAA Level 1 only and these applications must be done by advisers at Level 2 or above. You may be able to get help from these organisations:
