We want to welcome and support you.

CLEAR Project works with Southampton Citizens Advice Service to provide wraparound support for guests under the Homes for Ukraine Sponsorship scheme in the Southampton City Council region. This includes welfare visits throughout the sponsorship period, at home or in our office. If you need support, email HFU@sotoncab.org.uk.

The Ukraine Permission Extension scheme (UPE) began on 4 February 2025. If you’re a Ukrainian national—or a family member—living in the UK under a Ukraine scheme, you may be eligible to extend your stay for up to 18 months. Applications are online and free. Successful applicants can continue to live, work, study and access public funds. Information is available here.

Local Support

Local people have responded to the arrival of people from Ukraine including the Southampton Ukrainian Community Support Group who meet on the first Saturday of the month from 16:00 to 18:00 at the Edmund Kell Unitarian Church, Bellevue Road, Southampton SO15 2AY.

If you live outside the Southampton City Council region, you will need to contact your local council/authority.
