If you are in the UK, you can get help filling in your online Home Office application or setting up access to an eVisa if you:

  • do not feel confident using a computer or mobile device
  • do not have internet access
  • do not have access to a device like a laptop or smart phone

UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) have developed a digital immigration system to replace physical documents so you have an online record of your immigration status. This is known as an eVisa and this video explains more:

If you have an expired biometric residence permit (BRP) or card (BRC), you should create a UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account for free on GOV.UK to access your eVisa.

If you have indefinite leave to remain (ILR) and prove your immigration status with a passport stamp or vignette, you can make a free No Time Limit (NTL) application to access an eVisa.

If you already have an eVisa, make sure your current travel document is registered to your account. Information on how to travel with your eVisa is available on this video.

The Home Office are asking all applicants to keep their physical documents even after they expire in case they require any information from them at a later date.
