CLEAR is very proud to have had these badges donated to us to raise money for refugees and people seeking asylum in Southampton. They were minted in 1920 for Southampton’s Mayflower Pageant and held by the Rector of Millbrook, the Reverend James Lyne Beaumont James, but were not distributed, probably because the Rector was unavoidably detained in Canada. Upon the Rector’s death, the badges passed to his daughter Elisabeth, who has kindly offered them to CLEAR as part of Southampton’s Mayflower 400 celebrations.

Each badge comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Elisabeth.
