Avenue Multicultural Centre

CLEAR is a co-founder of the Avenue Multicultural Centre (AMC) which was set up in 2008 in partnership with the British Red Cross and Avenue St Andrew’s United Reformed Church. It is a drop-in centre which gives a warm welcome to all asylum seekers and refugees.

At the centre, the partners offer a range of professional advice and practical assistance particularly focussed on the needs of asylum seekers. The centre gives users access to sporting and recreational activities and offers a community café that is just the place to meet and find a friendly face and a cup of tea.

Volunteers help to run many of the activities at the centre and if you would like to become a volunteer please contact us. Link to volunteer page.

The centre regularly offers the social and recreational activities, talks and workshops. Often the centre has ICT resources available to use and we like to offer courses such as sewing and English classes for the centre users.

The Avenue Multicultural Centre is open on Fridays from 10.00 am to 2.30 pm at Avenue St Andrew’s Church, The Avenue, Southampton SO17 1XQ.

Advisors from CLEAR are regularly in attendance.
Please call us on 023 8022 1111 if you would like to make an appointment to see and advisor on a Friday at the AMC
